Echo Park Rocks !!!

Here I am doing my first post on MFA Creation Station.  Okay, I must be honest!  The Creation Station was not going to be started until the new year, but with a little push from my friends over at Echo Park Paper Facebook page, I am up and starting today!!
Echo Park is promoting Christmas on their blog by selecting 12 blog posts to be a guest bloggers starting December 13 and running them each day through to December 24. And who wouldn't want to be a part of that!!!
As a company new to going online, I haven't done much with my blog, but that is about to change.  I figure that when you want to create the best paper projects in the scrapbook and greeting card industry, you should start with the best paper in the industry.  Where do you go if you want to find the best paper??  Echo Park. (Hmmm...I swear I have read words similar to these recently or maybe there is just an "echo" around here...

I have always been a creative person but my journey in life took a dramatic change in 2002.  At this time I was a salon owner and enjoyed my job to the fullest.  I closed my business after having  failed back surgery that left me paralyzed from my waist down and living my life in a wheelchair.  In 2005, I received a handmade card at my 40th birthday party.  That card changed my life.
From that moment on my creative hands went back to work but this time as designing cards that held my own poetry. Now I enjoy being creative once again by bringing smiles of joy and happiness to those who receive my creations.

Recently I won a paper package from Echo Park.  It was my first time hearing about the new paper company.  I was beyond shocked when my package arrived and I got to see and feel the paper.  This paper was not your average patterned paper.  It was definitely not what I was expecting!  The paper is more like cardstock and is a great base for making handmade cards.  You will now be seeing more Echo Park Paper in my greeting cards.  It was a great experience to work with this company's paper line.
Since I only own the one line, "Little Boy" from Echo Park, I want to show you how versatile these lines are.  Check out this Christmas card I made for my Grandson.  This is made with ALL Echo Park patterned paper.

The santa on this card moves his waist, arms and head.  Here is a picture of the Santa moving.

Also, from the same little boy paper line, I made this birthday card for my 17 year old daughter!!

And here is the inside of the card ready to have the song "my little girl" done in calligraphy.

Please stay tunned this week to see what else I create for Christmas using Echo Park's Little Boys paper pack.

Here at Memories Forever After I always feel the same about Christmas.  It is the time of year that we show our love to the one's who mean the most to us and also to the one's less fortunate than ourselves.
Handmade gifts and cards are created to give the receiver Memories Forever After.
